Get the most out of your group study time by using these habits that have been proven to increase a person’s ability to remember what they’ve been taught.

Discuss specifically

Intentional conversation is key to leading discussions that help group members deepen their grasp of Scripture. The more a group member asks questions the more they learn. Watch here.

Illustrate Creatively

Pairing images with words provides group members multiple ways of remembering. As a group begins to apply what they remember they will experience more success. Watch here.

Mix Purposefully

Approaching a Bible discussion from different perspectives and then having your group member address those perspectives in a mixed way provides deeper understanding of the Bible. Watch here.

Remember Intentionally

Focusing on getting information out instead of in enhances a group member’s mastery and builds confidence to keep learning. Watch here.

Restate Plainly

Using specific and intentional examples to communicate abstract subjects or ideas is best because we remember concrete information better than abstract. Watch here.

Revisit Carefully

Spacing out the content you cover across an entire study leads to deeper mastery and confidence in group members’ application of Scripture. Watch here.
