At Rush Creek, Video Directors are the creative force behind promo videos, event and creative video production for the church. They are responsible for producing, writing, editing, lighting, and sound on each project. Video directors oversee the content that goes on camera and must be familiar with the technical aspects of making videos for our internal ministries/clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- -Pre-Production
- -Scheduling shoots
- -Script writing
- -Contacting client and subjects/actors
- -Writing interview questions
- -Creating shot lists & storyboards
- -Location Scouting
- -Filming
- -Managing sound
- -Lighting
- -Directing actors
- -Telling the story
- -Leading volunteers or other people on staff for assistance during shoots.
- -Capturing baptisms and other events
- -Post-Production
- -Editing
- -Color correction
- -Sound editing
- -Project, file, and equipment organization
-Creative thinker
-Willing to learn and hear ideas
-Experience in Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects (preferred)
-Experience with the following cameras: Canon, Black Magic
-Experience with Boom mic, Lav mic, Voiceover equipment, Lighting
-Must be a follower of Christ and baptized by immersion.
-Must attend or commit to attending Rush Creek Church.
-Education: 2 years video experience required, 4-year degree in related field preferred.
-Experience: Minimum of 2 years hands on video experience with film portfolio.
-Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Outlook. Strong computer literacy is essential.
-Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with attentiveness to details.
